GTA 6 May Omit Disney World and Orlando Landmarks
Rockstar indicates that famous central Florida attractions might not appear in the upcoming game.

Grand Theft Auto 6 players hoping to visit a virtual parody of Disney World or Orlando should temper their expectations. According to a recent report by Kotaku, comments from developer Rockstar suggest that several well-known central and eastern Florida locations may not make the final cut of the map.
The details emerged following a detailed preview published by Game Informer. Reporters asked the studio if iconic regional sites, such as the Kennedy Space Center and Disney World, would be featured in the upcoming open-world title. These specific areas had not previously appeared in trailers, official screenshots, gameplay footage, or past leaks.
Responding to inquiries, Rockstar senior vice president of environment art Paul MacPherson explained how the team builds its virtual environments. He noted that developers must constantly balance environmental diversity, architecture, natural formations, and plant life before filtering a shortlist down to match the narrative and gameplay requirements.
While this response strongly implies that exact replicas or direct parodies of Orlando landmarks are absent, MacPherson emphasized that the overall design still targets a comprehensive Florida atmosphere. The studio aims to deliver the core regional experience through curated elements rather than a literal 1:1 replica of the state's geography.
Mixed Signals for Theme Park Fans
Despite the apparent exclusion of a major resort parody, central Florida will still find representation in the game. Official promotional material has already highlighted an alligator-themed park that draws clear inspiration from Gatorland, a real-world zoo located south of Orlando.
Furthermore, hints of familiar corporate satire might still slip into the title. A character resembling Minnie Mouse was previously spotted in official gameplay reveals, seemingly tied to Fred’s Pictures, an in-game corporation first mentioned in Grand Theft Auto V.
For players eager to explore the digital landscape, the wait is almost over. Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox platforms, bringing Rockstar's version of the Sunshine State to life.
